I've never heard of Performance Electronics, but after looking at their website, you would pay a lot more money for the same thing you get with GM stuff. Only very large cam grinds will require additional tuning in the system. The Ultimate LS standalone kit will self-learn to most cam swaps. This kit is dedicated to LS Gen III and IV engines with crank and cam sensors. For a few hundred dollars, you get a system that is virtually bulletproof. This self-learning Ultimate LS ECU is the best solution for a standalone LS swap and replaces the OEM computer and harness. They are very good, with lots of tune ability. WOT PE TUNING Do this only AFTER all LTFTs are -5 to +5. In all honesty, I would stick with the GM ecu and a good standalone harness. The flex fuel sensor makes things easier because you don’t have to load an E85 specific map into your ECU when you switch fuels. The Haltech flex fuel sensor is very robust and helps the Elite 2500 make the choice to switch between fuel maps based on the fuel youre using. Everything is custom, big race team type stuff. If youre running E85 a flex fuel sensor is a must-have item. It's probably a little over the top but they are SUPER helpful and would handle the install and tune in their facility. Soo.for primarily track time, do you think I should pivot once again to Holley or FAST? I also had considered this company here in Cincinnati called Performance Electronics. I have a re-worked L92 that I'm purchasing from a guy a met at the PRI show, who is going to run it on their engine dyno at their facility in MI.
